The Irish Association Annual Scientific Meeting was held with record number of attendances and accepted abstracts in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
On the Thursday evening, an informal trainees dinner was organised for 15 people and 26 people (including trainees Dr Niamh Collins and Dr Emily O’Connor) turned up!
IEMTA awarded a prize to Helena Dolphin for her poster presentation:
“A pilot study examining the feasibility of two potential outcome Emergency Department key performance indicators.” H Dolphin, F Boland, A Wakai.
IEMTA awarded Dr Niamh Collins as the 2013 trainer of the year.
Congratulations to Dr Éadaoin Ní Sheaghdea who won the IAEM best oral presentation for her presentation:
“Implementation of an evidence based guideline for management of children with a non-traumatic limp in a General Emergency Department (ED) setting.” E NiSheaghdha, S Lee, K Harris, J Binchy.
At the IEMTA AGM the new committee was elected.
