IEMTA are excited to announce the date of our upcoming and highly anticipated Spring Scientific Meeting. We have a fantastic panel on the day, to cover hot topics in Geriatric Emergency Medicine.

With that, we are inviting everyone to submit abstracts for ORAL and POSTER presentations.

Call for Abstracts – IEMTA ASM

Coming this Spring, we have the highly anticipated Spring Scientific Meeting. In times past, this event took place on a Friday evening. Given the growing interest in EM and growth of our members, we’d like to try something different this year – the meeting will take place over a full day, on Saturday May 19th, 2018 with an Ultrasound Level 1 Sign-off component preceding the Scientific Meeting.

Date: Saturday May 19th, 13:00-18:00pm
Pre-conference Ultrasound Sign-Off: Saturday May 19th, 09:30-12:00pm

Scientific Programme and Social Programme will follow in coming weeks!

We are formally accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Closing date is April 20th, 2018.

Spring Meeting 2017

This is a fantastic opportunity for NCHDs and medical students interested in Emergency Medicine to presnt their case reports, audits and research at a national meeting.

EMed Induction Course

Jul 2016 EMED PosterThe SVUH Emergency Department hosts an introductory course in Emergency Medicine twice yearly and the 32nd course is taking place on  Friday 1 and Saturday 2 July 2016.

This course is invaluable and highly recommended for Interns and NCHDs and covers all aspects of emergency medicine.  It is designed and facilitated by emergency medicine consultants and registrars and provides useful practical workshops including, airway management, procedural sedation & local anaesthesia, suturing, x-ray interpretation, fracture management and cast application as well as ECG analysis and rhythm recognition.
