MRCEM OSCE

  • Covers: Clinical and Communication skills
  • (Marking of the OSCE has changed from checklist marking to a domain-based marking scheme in 2022)
  • Questions: 16 OSCE Stations + 2 Rest stations
  • Length: 8 minutes per station
  • Eligibility: Passes in previous 2 exams. 24 months experience post qualification (At least 6 months ED experience post intern year

To be awarded the title of Member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine by exam, a pass in all three MRCEM exams is needed. Completion of these exams is also needed for progression to ASTEM.
